Kale' Raymond Woods - Assistant  Coach

Spelman alumn and Bay Area native, Kale` Woods, has been dancing for as long as she can remember. She has trained with the Bay Area dance companies, The Ballet School, Contra Costa Ballet, Dance Connection in Walnut Creek, CA; and New Style Motherlode (Oakland, CA) in the areas of Ballet, Jazz and Hip-Hop.  It was on Morehouse College’s “House of Funk” Band dance team, “Mahogany N Motion”, where Kale` developed a love and passion for, not only Drill team style dance, but developing “sisterhood and self-awareness” through dance. Kale served as Captain of Mahogany N Motion from 2003-2005, and has served as a coach and consultant to the team post graduation. Kale` has consulted, coached, and choreographed for several high school dance teams in the state of Georgia, as well as danced professionally for hip hop artists.  In 2014, Kalé cofounded and became the coach of the "Jewels" danceline in Oakland, CA, in an effort to expose the west coast to HBCU dance style and culture. Kale’s mission in dance is to not only train dancers to be excellent technicians, but supply them with the skills and self-confidence to be leaders and community members in life.

Erin Rue -  Assistant Coach

Coach Erin currently resides in Atlanta but is a native of Detroit, MI with several years of dance experience.  Erin has been trained in ballet, tap, jazz and modern dance.  She received a BS in General Science from Spelman College, BS in Industrial Engineering from Georgia Tech and an MBA from Keller Graduate School of Management.  Attending Spelman College was the BEST decision Erin could have made.  After cheering in high school for 4 years it was Spelman where she was able to regain her passion for dance by joining Mahogany-N-Motion.  For the past 4 years she has been able to give back by coaching the team she loves so dearly.
